Turtle Pack have been crowned the winner of Murgitroyd's Autumn Edition of the Innovator Launchpad competition, taking home the first place prize worth over £10,000.

Innovator Launchpad was created by our valued Partner, Murgitroyd in Spring 2017 to support the start-up community in the UK by giving the community a Facebook platform on which to collaborate, access useful resources and compete for funding.

Michael Harkins, founder of Turtle Pack and Converge Challenge alumnus, has designed a unique swimming aid for children which is shaped as a turtle’s shell and aims to remove anxiety and build confidence in young swimmers.

The first prize includes:

  • £6,500 cash
  • £2,500 worth of intellectual property services from Murgitroyd
  • £1,500 worth of innovation funding advisory services from Leyton UK
  • A limited edition Betabrand space jacket
  • A professional photoshoot and some other free publicity

Finishing in second place was Hoolr, a company that aims to make university life easier, by helping students do anything from buying and selling textbooks to finding a tutor. Third place was awarded to Alex App, a company who have created a delivery mobile application offering point-to-point deliveries or pick-ups.

Huge congratulations to Michael and Team Turtle Pack!
