MindMate named as 30 Under 30 Europe 2018: Social Entrepreneurs

MindMate have been named in the influential Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2018: Social Entrepreneurs.

Co-founders, Susanne Mitschke, Rogelio Arellano and Patrick Renner developed the award-winning App that provides fun and interactive games to stimulate the user's cognitive abilities based on world-leading research. The games challenge cognitive areas for individuals living with memory issues, Alzheimer's, other forms of Dementia or traumatic brain injury.

The company was co-founded in 2015 by Susanne Mitschke whilst studying a Masters degree in International Management & Leadership at the University of Glasgow. 

In 2016, they gained NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a paying customer, raised a six figure seed investment, and jointly won Converge Challenge! They were also the first EVER Scottish business to be accepted on to the highly sought after Techstars Accelerator in New York.

MindMate changed from an app for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia to a mobile-first patient research platform, which is matching patients to open clinical trials. The team is serving several pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organisations with their patient recruiting program and also won New York University as a client. 

In addition, the app MindMate was part of an intervention-based study for early alzheimer's patients conducted by University of Glasgow. The study showed that subjects who used MindMate are more independent in their daily live and even improved cognitive abilities. 

MindMate raised $1M from Mucker Capital and Locke Mountain Ventures.
