NEW: Converge Challenge will reveal contemporary handmade trophies for 2017

To maintain our innovative approach and to celebrate the 2017 Converge Challenge Awards, we commissioned a new style of trophy to inspire Scotland’s next generation of entrepreneurs.

The awards are made by Scott Irvine of Harmonies in Wood from kiln dried Scottish olive Ash wood.  The design is based around our favourite hero image - the lightbulb – to represent the eureka moment with some bright new colours to represent the different award winning Challenge categories.

Converge Challenge is also very passionate to support start-ups and local businesses in Scotland. Scott Irvine of Harmonies in Wood is an excellent example of one. He was introduced to woodworking at an early age in his grandfather’s workshop. The freshness of his designs, continues to surprise and delight an ever-growing number of private and corporate collectors of his work. This includes Edinburgh Napier University. Scott has made their annual alumni awards since 2010 and also created a bespoke trophy for their annual Varsity American football match between Edinburgh Napier University and Edinburgh University.

The result is dramatic and we can’t wait to reveal this year’s trophies to our winners and guests!

Roll on the Gala Converge Challenge Awards September 28th!
