Converge Challenge offers EDGEtra prizes!

Scottish EDGE has kindly provided ‘money can’t buy’ prizes for the top 3 Converge Challenge 2017 category winners. Each will receive automatic placements in the semi-finals of Scottish EDGE Rounds 11 or 12  (the choice of semi-final lies with the winner).  This presents a superb opportunity for our winners following in the footsteps of previous alumni such as Snap40, ShotScope, Photon Force Ltd, Robotical and so on who have benefited from EDGE awards.

Scottish EDGE aims to identify and support Scotland’s innovative, high-growth potential entrepreneurial talent through providing access to grants, loans and business support.  They have been lucky enough to support some Converge Challenge winners in the past who have benefited significantly from coming through the Converge Challenge process receiving training, bespoke business advice and access to mentoring which has helped them to develop and hone their business propositions and increase their chances of winning significant sums of money in the Scottish EDGE Final.

Olga Kozlova, Director Converge Challenge said:

“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Scottish EDGE and be able to offer our participants such a fantastic opportunity. The EDGE provides vital funding during early stages of company growth and our continued collaboration demonstrates the joined up approach within the enterprise support ecosystem.”

Evelyn McDonald, CEO, Scottish EDGE, said:

“Scottish EDGE are always looking out for innovative ideas and the staff and students of Scottish Universities come up with some fantastic ideas which have the potential to transform into significant businesses and have a positive effect on the Scottish economy.”

This joined up support of these two entrepreneurial supporters is just one example of the way Converge Challenge collaborates to develop and extend the #ScotlandCANDo agenda and enhance Scotland’s strong entrepreneurial ecosystem.
